LoopLAB has partnered with breweries, hosted private making events, and shown up at conferences and public events - anywhere people are curious to turn waste into something new. Participants get the same hands-on experience: sorting, shredding, and molding plastic into something they keep, with no prior experience needed.

It's a distinctive addition to a conference schedule, a unique activity for a private event, and draws a crowd in public. The same hands-on draw that makes it work in a classroom works here too: people want to run the equipment, not just watch. They get excited about the colors they've picked and the surprise of opening the mold to see how it's turned out.

LoopLAB aligns with BC's Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies (ADST) curriculum and works for grades 3 and up. Sessions can run as a single classroom visit, or a multi-session series, and connect naturally to science, social studies, art, career education - and beyond. Materials and systems thikning, local resource use, and hands-on experience with specialty equipment, it's exposure to a small sustainability business in action.
